A few years ago, I was writing Android guides from my room. Rooting tutorials, bootloader unlocking, firmware updates. Most nights it was just me, a laptop and a phone plugged in over USB.

I didn’t think of it as a business back then. I thought of it as “the Android thing I do”.

It took me a while to see what was actually happening. People I’d never met were finding my guides on Google, following the steps, and coming back for the next one. And that traffic was paying me.

That’s the skill I want to talk about today. And it’s why I wrote my first ebook, Blog to Paycheck.

Why I wrote it

I get the same question a lot. “How do I start a blog that makes money?”

It’s a fair question, but it’s hard to answer in one message. The honest answer has a lot of steps. Pick the right topic. Buy a domain. Set up hosting and WordPress. Write posts people actually search for. Get your first visitors. Then turn those visitors into income.

Every one of those steps has a dozen ways to go wrong. I’ve made most of those mistakes myself.

So instead of answering in bits and pieces, I wrote the whole thing down. Start to finish, in the order you’d actually do it.

There’s another reason too. Blogging in 2026 is not the same as blogging in 2020. Google now shows AI Overviews at the top of many searches. AI writing tools are everywhere. A lot of people are saying blogging is dead.

It isn’t. But the old way of doing it doesn’t work anymore. I wanted a guide that’s honest about what changed, and shows the way that still works today.

What’s inside the ebook

Blog to Paycheck is 107 pages, split into six parts.

  1. The truth about blogging in 2026. What changed, what still works, and the seven ways blogs actually make money.
  2. Building your blog. Picking a niche that can pay you, choosing a domain and hosting, setting up WordPress, and the pages every money blog needs.
  3. Writing content that ranks. Keyword research with free tools, a simple post template, and how to use AI without hurting your blog.
  4. Getting traffic. Your first 1,000 visitors, and why you should start an email list on day one.
  5. Making money. Display ads (AdSense, then Mediavine or Raptive), affiliate marketing, your own digital products, and sponsored work.
  6. Growing into a real income. A 12-month roadmap, the mistakes that cost bloggers months, and the boring but important stuff like taxes and backups.

At the end, there’s a toolkit with worksheets and checklists. A niche scoring sheet, a 30-day launch plan, a checklist to run before you publish any post, and one to run before you apply to AdSense.

There’s more. Every setup step has a real screenshot. When I say “go to Settings > Permalinks”, you’ll see exactly what that screen looks like, with the setting you need to change highlighted.

What makes it different

I kept three rules while writing it.

First, no fake promises. I’m not going to tell you that you’ll make $10,000 next month. Most blogs take 6 to 12 months before they earn anything meaningful. I say that in the book, more than once.

Second, real numbers with sources. When I mention a hosting price, an ad network’s traffic requirement, or what Google says about AI content, there’s a link to the official page right there. I checked them in September 2026.

Third, no coding. You don’t need to know HTML or anything technical. If you can use a phone, you can follow this book.

Who it’s for

This book is for you if:

  • You want to earn from home and you’ve never built a website before.
  • You started a blog once, got no traffic, and gave up.
  • You like writing and want that skill to pay you something.

It’s not for you if you want fast money. Blogging is slow at the start. That’s also why it lasts.
